Join Madera Economic Development Commission and The Deerpoint Group, Inc. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. It will be a historical moment for Madera as it officially opens Freedom Industrial Park, consisting of100 acres located at Pine Street and Pecan Avenue.  The project was spurred by a partnership between the City of Madera and Span Construction and Engineering. At full build out the park is expected to add approximately 1 million square feet of industrial space, increasing the county’s industrial inventory by14 percent. The county’s vacancy rate has been under 1% for the past two years. Freedom Industrial Park will provide opportunity to establish more manufacturers and jobs to the greater Madera County area.
Along with the opening of Madera’s new industrial park there will be a golden shovel ground breaking announcing Deerpoint Group Inc. Span Construction and Engineering will be constructing a 65,000 square foot design/build structure for Deerpoint and their 70 employees. The company specializes in water treatment chemicals and fertilizers for agricultural use and has been growing rapidly over the past five years. “There are plans for a second 41,000 square foot building to be built following Deerpoint and half of the building is already leased,” said Bobby Kahn, Executive Director of the Madera County Economic Development Commission.
The industrial park includes benefits such as easy highway access, full city water and sewer services, and a Union Pacific rail line.
The public is invited to attend the event. The celebration will be held on the corner of Pine Street and Pecan Avenue.
